Merry Christmas (ZZeke Update)

Holden Squeaker and ZZeke got all decorated for the holidays, much to their chagrin -- first is Holden...

And now ZZeke...

We will have a ZZeke update later but just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

1:00 pm ZZeke Update!

From Barb: "Merry Christmas! Happy Hannukah! Festivus for the Rest of Us!!

Can't believe Zeke has been here for 2 weeks. Time flies!  He is a really good boy. He has had no potty accidents since the first couple days. He goes to the sliding glass doors and scratches and whines to be let out. He goes to bed between 10 and 11 and sleeps until 6am. Sometimes he still gets up once or twice to potty-but he always whines to be let out.

He also gained 4 pounds this week-I don't know how that happened either. (Editor Note: YIKES!!!!!!! *glares at Keith*) He has a waist and easily felt ribs. I will keep weighing him weekly. He is a lot bigger already.

The big dogs are used to him now- although someone plotted to take him out with a squeaker.  I caught him eating one last night. He went under the coffee table and got real quiet. He had it all in his mouth and was chewing on it! He didn't want to give it up either. I found a hole in the Santa toy where someone had chewed it out.

My daughter had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and was on call last night-so Zuko spent the night. Those two boys have more fun together!! Zuko is 16 months old. They have some fancy wrestling moves and roll around. Mostly Zuko lays on his back and Zeke gets on top of him and they do the alligator mouth thing. And Zuko plays gentle tug with him. When he sees Zeke doing something he shouldn't-like chewing on the sofa Zuko brings a toy over to him and redirects him!  He is a good big brother/nephew.

Zeke is getting lots of lap time while I can still hold him-we know how fast that goes. He is very snuggly when he is tired. He gives sweet puppy kisses. We are having Christmas tomorrow when everyone can be here.  I think Santa has some toys for Zeke."

Harper's First Christmas

The best present -- Dear Husband is home to hold her!

More Christmas Fun!

The Heintzbergers write:  "Not to be outdone by the sibs, Lainey is wearing her jingle bell collar while eating Rudolph." CUTE!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the updates MA and keeping Kim in my thoughts. The good thing is that you caught the clots...now they just have to go away. Make him take it easy and do exactly what they tell him to do. As for Maize...my heart goes out to you and I know whatever is next will be the right decision as you have loved and cared for her all these years and she has had the most wonderful life a creature could have had. I have always liked that girl and I know how hard this is on you. Try to rest your mind today and enjoy the little things. Wishing you the best of everything Mary-Ann as you know how grateful I am to have been presented with Zed at a time when Zion and I needed him so much and here he is right now, by my side when life hasn't been as predictable as years gone by. I am wishing you peace, love and comfort now and into the New Year. Will call you later in the week my friend.

Great report! And I must say, all keepers of plumpies, I love every single one of your updates! So, thank you!
Barb, the editors note was kinda scary! ;-0 Wonderful pix too! And isn't it funny, quiet usually does equal something not so good going on. Still happens in my house w/a certain four year old!! Merry Christmas!

Zzeke, please don't give Holden Squeaker any ideas!!! I am constantly pulling things out of his mouth! Night before last I swear he ate a rock-heard him chewing on something hard, opened his mouth to get it and he squealed, so of course the other two dogs came running over to see what was up and caused a general racket. That quickly the rock was gone-I didn't find it on the patio, but it was dark. Watched him all day yesterday hoping that Santa would NOT be giving him a gastrotomy for Christmas! Good today too, so maybe it was slight of mouth :) Last night at my mom's all he wanted to do was eat acorns, which we don't have in our yard! Of course he only does this when it's dark out! Mary-Ann-love the pictures of Harper! She's gorgeous! Kim sure does grow a fast beard!

H litter, after the holidays, don't forget to send me the info you want on your puppy tags and let me know if you would like to have a year of the Seattle club newsletter. It's my treat to our babie's great new homes. Cindy...got yours in the mail...both of them and thanks so much. Heading out for prime rib dinner...yum. Happy Holidays everyone.

Merry Christmas Mary-Ann & Kim! So good to hear Kim is home and on-the-mend. Mary-Ann, keep the sharp objects away from Kim. ;D
