Upcoming Portability

I got some great and wonderful and amazing news yesterday...

I applied for -- and received -- a full academic year sabbatical. It officially starts in the fall but consider that I have summers off and you can see there is a long expanse of "sabbatical" coming up. (Full Disclosure: I will be teaching an online class in July).

A sabbatical is not exactly a vacation but it is a break from normal university life. While on sabbatical I will be working on different projects - the main one is a book. But I *will* be on vacation from teaching and the endless meetings and office hours and the 10 zillion emails and the commute and so on and so forth.

And a sabbatical means I will be portable. With Lucky the Leprechaun (aka the RV) at my disposal. For over a year.

I might be a wee bit excited.

But first we finish out this semester and hopefully create and raise a litter of perfectly wonderful baby berners.

And plan.

Please be sure to include the most beautiful spot on the planet (Maine, Echo Lake in Fayette to be exact) on your list of places to visit.
I'm super excited for you.

So happy for you! Lucky is going on another big road trip. Hope you have your passport ready as we are expecting a Canadian visit.

I will keep a eye out for Lucky and the girls. It's a small world.

Bravo! Many adventures to come! If you seek a partner in crime occasionally, I AM semi-retired now!

If Sparkle is in town and wants to do some modeling, the job is hers!
